The Oates Museum at Gilbert
White's House, Selborne, commemorates Captain Lawrence Oates
who died with Scott on the famous ill fated south Pole expedition,
and Frank Oates one of the first Europeans to reach Victoria

where the 'Mouth and Foot Painters' exhibit their work.
The Curtis Museum, Alton, chronicles local history and
